Very nice though everything was expensive. Loved the spa facilities in particular. Room v comfortable and staff lovely.
Breakfast wasn't great - and the breakfast staff weren't the most helpful e.g. it was in a different room every day and they didn't necessarily tell you where! Had one cooked breakfast which was nothing special - adequate - but cost £14!
Staff went out of their way to help and accomodate our requests/needs. Room was beautiful, very clean and spacious. Hotel location was very peaceful and a short walk into the village. I can't wait to stay here again on my wedding night in August - thank you!
Free parking & wifi. Location, out of the city. Restaurant service was good and the food, what there was of it, tasted good.
Food in restaurant is over-priced - e.g. 13.00 for 2 scallops (starter). Booking form online does not mention breakfast as an extra, or the price. The room was small and not designed for relaxing after a day's work and a comfortable chair would have made a significant difference (had there been room).
Lovely room. The restaurant was excellent, & the wedding reception we attended was very well done.
Just a chill out Break. Great food and a Great place to stay. Look like it Isaiah a great place to have your wedding. Hotel is in a great spot, will tell others about your hotel family and frends that will love it there.
Only an overnight stopover - not really any problems during the stay.
We felt that paying £100 for one night's stay the breakfast should be included.
little room for washbags in the bathroom . tv in the bathroom that didn't work . cooked breakfast served on cold plates . unable to switch off room light from the bedside.
The location for our stay in the Wirral area. Lovely room atan acceptable price.Thank you
These are not complaints, just observations. Room 232 our room needs a bulb in the vanity light above mirror. At breakfast, my wife would have prefered butter instead of Flora. And I realise that the Spa area maybe out side your remit but someone needs to enforce the non sitting in the cafe area by those wearing wet trunks etc. A vast majority of the material seats were wet and when sitting in my clothes ended with wet trousers (not pleasant) All of the above were mentioned at the time but not remedied before my departure. Please, these are not complaints only observations and did not detract from our stay thank you.
Restaurant staff were not very good. We had to ask whether we should order drinks ourselves at the bar, having sat down 15 mins earlier. The room was not really big enough to be sold as a family room for 2 adults and 2 children.
excellent service from staff, very clean and well presented room with balcony and great views to wake up to.well organized wedding which was the purpose of our visit.
bar prices are very expensive but only to be expected in a hotel of this class
Location (lovely, characteristic village on 10 mins walk with a lovely family-run pub 'the seven stars' with wood fire!), the TV in the bathroom with a giant tub for two :-), breakfast was great so were the welness facilities. There is a bubble bath outside, pretty spectacular set next to the fields, church bells... We took the superior room (no 10), with robes and all. £95 was great value for money on Boxing day night.
Bar prices were high, so was breakfast. Cooked b-fast £15 p.p., but the continental one £10 each, which was worth it. Atmosphere in the bar etc was a bit country-club like, posh.
the meal in the restuarant was very poor, spoilt a otherwise perfect stay
The room service we had was excellent and the spa facilities are great, we enjoyed those 2 things best during our 1 night stay.
We thought the breakfast was a bit overpriced but apart from that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay & don't have any complaints.
comfortable room and excellent grounds and surroundings. Very warm welcome recieved upon arrical from the concierge
I paid for a superiour room but the room I was given did not have the advertised facilities. I was reimbursed on check out
